My point was not about content of the error message. Imagine situation we have
a working pkg-config, but no openssl.pc installed along with OpenSSL. Then it
works fine before the patch, but fails after the patch.
I only want to keep working what used to work before. With the change I am
proposing it works before/after the patch. Attached are both (incremental and
merged) patches.
