Decoding text returned from an HTTP Post

Hi all,
I am posting a document to a webserver which returns some text which happens to be XML. It comes encoded to do things like replace double-quotes that are embedded in an XML attribute value with """ to preserve the validity of the XML. If I do the POST via a web browser, it replaces the """ string with a double quote so that it displays nicely. Is there any function or option in libcurl to do a similar replacement?
