I can't see anything pointing to a libcurl bug in your report so far.

Please try to describe the crash more verbosely. You want to use e.g. valgrind
or gdb to see what happens.

Where exactly does it happen? Please compile libcurl with debugging info and
try to lacate the place of dereferencing NULL pointer.

Please attach a minimal example which we can compile and try to run. Nobody
here has an oracle I think. But I am almost sure the problem is in your app
rather than libcurl itself.
