I've been using libcurl for years now on Windows and never felt it was hard to implement into a project. Maybe it depends on the app. I don't do Windows GUI apps. All our tasks run as services.

That sounds like a good idea! I'm not a windows dev (in fact I've _never_ developed anything even half-advanced on windows) so I have no idea what we need to do to enhace this for you guys. We rely on Windows users/devs to help out here!
