Re: Memory leak in libcurl

The memory leak reported by VC++ _CrtDumpMemoryLeaks() is probably
due to the same issue because it only occurs when curl is built with
OPENSSL support. Although the memory leak is not significantly harmful
as it does not grow, I believe that there should be a function that
can be called to free this memory before the application closes. I
tried all the functions suggested in OPENSSL FAQ:
ERR_remove_state(0);
CONF_modules_free();
ENGINE_cleanup();
CONF_modules_unload(1);
ERR_free_strings();
EVP_cleanup();
CRYPTO_cleanup_all_ex_data();
However, the memory leak is still reported. This is probably an
OPENSSL issue, however, I hope that a reader of this mailing list
encountered it and found a solution to it. I reported it to OPENSSL
too.
Thanks,
Huzaifa
