If configure can't even build its simple test app under those conditions,
then your compiler or configuration must be broken. A compiler called
arm-elf-gcc compiler is not the normal one to use to compile Linux apps,
I should mention--normally, the compiler would be called arm-linux-gcc.
If you can figure out what compiler and flags to use to compile a working
"Hello World" app, then you can use that as a start.
