curl-library
library build failure for ARM platform "../lib/.libs/libcurl.so: No such file or directory"
Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 16:07:30 +0000
Hi,
I'm trying to compile libcURL under cygwin targeting an ARM platform.
I configured and compiled with the following sequence of commands:
$ export AR=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-ar
$ export AS=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-as
$ export LD=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-ld
$ export RANLIB=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-ranlib
$ export CC=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc
$ export NM=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-nm
$ ./configure "--prefix=/cygdrive/c/Documents\ and\
Settings/robdes/cygwin/curl" --exec-prefix=/usr/local --host=arm-linux
$ make
$ make install
The final step proceeded for a while then gave the following error:
arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc -g -O2 -o .libs/curl main.o hugehelp.o
urlglob.o writeout.o writeenv.o getpass.o homedir.o curlutil.o
strtoofft.o strdup.o ../lib/.libs/libcurl.so -Wl,--rpath
-Wl,/usr/local/lib
arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc.exe: ../lib/.libs/libcurl.so: No such
file or directory
make[2]: *** [curl] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/cygdrive/c/Documents and
Settings/robdes/cygwin/curl-7.18.0/src'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/cygdrive/c/Documents and
Settings/robdes/cygwin/curl-7.18.0/src'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I can confirm that the file curl-7.18.0/lib/.libs/libcurl.so DOES exist.
Have I done anything wrong during configure/make?
I'm unfamiliar with libcURL so not sure if there's anything else I
should be providing - any help would be great, I can provide any more
info required.
TIA,
