Hi guys,

first of all thanks for the work on this amazing library. Started
working directly
with it (other than the curl tool) and love it already. :)

I noticed something strange while writing a download'n'flash tool for
a DSL router:
file:// URLs do not support ranged "downloads" which basically means
that I can
at the moment not use libcurl for this purpose like I would for FTP or
HTTP
downloads.

Is this intentional?
Does someone have a patch to implement this?
Would be a patch to implement this feature likely be accepted?
