Feature request: Fast forward function

Hello!
When using a custom read function und ftp upload resuming, there is no way
to "fast forward" a file yet. After resume, curl always reads the entire
data, which can take quite a long time.
Are there any plans to add a "fast forward" function in the near future? It is
already marked as TODO in the source code (ftp.c), and I would really
appreciate having this feature!
