GCC 2.96 doesn't have the warning, either.

But the option was introduced in GCC 4.0, and the warning is in GCC
3.3 (always have multiple GCC source trees handy ;-), so that's not a
complete solution.

GCC 4.1 _does_ produce that warning in general, but perhaps something
in libcurl's build process suppresses it.
