I'm going to look into this, although it probably won't happen until
after the weekend (no proper network at home to reach the machines).
However, it proably has something to do with the 32-bit OS vs. 64-bit OS
differences. Or it could be distro differences: The 32-bit machine is
a Debian SID i386 system with libc6 2.3.6 and the 64-bit machine is a
SuSE 9.2 x86-64 system with glibc-2.3.3.
Both have exactly the same version of icc 9.1 though.
