I don't know how else I can say this. It does this already by default and if
it doesn't, it either can't because the server doesn't allow it, or because it
bugs.

If you show us response headers from a connection that isn't re-used when it
should be and similar things that would help us repeat this issue, then
perhaps we will understand more and can offer better advice.
