You can also look into libexpat (expat.sourceforge.net). It is a very
lightweight, fast XML parser and pretty much allows the programmer to
control EVERYTHING. I found libxml and libxml2 a bit difficult to work
with (within the scope of my small project) and though expat was a much
better solution. It's definitely worth a look.
