I'm running 7.14.1 on a couple of flavors of linux and windows. I've got
my timeout set to 3 seconds (this is for a spider), and have not set
connectiontimeout (I'm using the default resolver). I've noticed that
DNS lookups can take longer than my overall timeout (I have the nosignal
option set).

Is there any way around this? Should I use the connectiontimeout? Should
I go back to using ares?
