I never got any further replies or patches. AFAICR.

This happens all the time. People throw in a little patch and I start to
discuss some minor changes or improvements that would make it fit better and
during the attempts the author disappears. I've grown to stop caring.

If a person wants something included, he/she should hang around and work to
make it get so. If they don't, I take it as a sign they don't want it included
bad enough and then I can drop it as well.
