Hello, James -

I have not heard of any particular problems with the pascal
bindings lately, but there have been numerous reports that
some of the recent Curl+SSL+Win32 releases are missing SSL
support - maybe that could be it?

That's not to say the problem isn't in curlpas, it could be,
since the bindings are quite out of date.

My windows machine died a while back, and I really don't
have much motivation to resurrect it, so I can't help you
much with tracking this one down. Curlpas seems to work
just fine with curl-7.13.1-CVS, SSL-0.9.7d, FPC-1.9.8,
and SuSE-9.2 ;-)

Simply saying "it crashes" doesn't help much either.
What sort of error messages are you getting? Have you
tried compiling with debug info, or setting a breakpoint
in the IDE and single-stepping to the crash site?

Maybe you could try an earlier libcurl version to see if
you can narrow down the problem a little more?

I found an older release laying around on my HD,
it is here if you want to try it:

( The original too-long-for-yahoo-mail filename is:
curl-7.11.0-win32-ssl-devel-mingw32.zip )

HTH,
 - Jeff

P.S.

( slightly off topic )
My compliments to the "other" Jeff P. - those VB bindings
sound *really* cool. Something curl has needed for a long
time.

( slightly back on topic )
Delphi also has support for COM/ActiveX - the VB stuff
might actually work better in Delphi than curlpas ?
