in the previous code there was a wrong url to sourceforge.net,
since the ssl-certificate is for sourceforge.net without the leading www.
a manual call of curl in the terminal brought me to that.
now the error is not "bus error" any longer but
CURLE_UNSUPPORTED_PROTOCOL (1).
i actually tried curl-7.12.3 meanwhile and built the sample against it ...
and it works fine!
i don't really get this, because as it seems, the other version (7.11.1)
*should*
be alright since there is ssl-support activated and built in?!
