RE: Multithreaded problem on HP-UX

I guess that this is for original cc shipped for HP-UX. Are there the
same kind of options for gcc?

On HP multithreading option is "-mt":
cc manual:
-mt Sets various -D flags to enable multi-threading and
               also sets -lpthread. For details see HP C Online Help.

Check that you compiled with this option.

Yes, I use the OpenSSL callbacks (hopefully correctly). I took the
openssl example under the link you provided and replaced their thread
working function with function from https.c to fetch https pages.

Sorry for confusing, I meant that -D_THREAD_SAFE helped me to make my
test program run on AIX. I do not think this will help on HP-UX. Could
there be any other similar issue?
