Those failures look like curl dies already when the test suite runs it to
check its features.

Do you get a core file in the tests dir? Can you 'gdb ../src/curl core' (or
similar) to see what causes the crash?

I got exactly that sympthom earlier today when I had destroyed the new memory
callback-stuff slightly... (and the function pointers were NULL whem we use
curl_getenv() from the curl tool).
