Hi,

I've been developing a small application using curl, that uses multiple
threads. I am finding that the application will often crash when multiple
threads are in gethostbyname_r at the same time. I was eventually able to
resolve this by linking in the c-ares library. I'm using Slackware 9.1
(which is gcc 3.2.3, glibc 2.3.2 I believe) on a dual Pentium3.

Is this a known problem? Anything I could do to help diagnose further?
