I have checked out version 1.11 from CVS,
but it fails to compile file.c with the message

file.c:156:24: missing binary operator before '('

at the line:

#if defined(WIN32) && (SIZEOF_CURL_OFF_T > 4)

Apparently the gpp preprocessor is unable to resolve sizeof(curl_off_t) to a
constant.
