I got one like this, too and thought it strange and suspicous. It
directed me to a URL at *.webmasters.com (I think) not sourceforge.net,
and contained a long code that could very well have been associated with my
e-mail address. It may be a clever way to harvest valid e-mail addresses,
or find out who's subscribing to this list.
