curl-library
Where's the static library ?

Hi,
I compiled the libcurl library on VC++ 6.0 on Windows XP and it compiled ok, but I got a ".lib" file and a ".dll" file. This means that if I make a program that uses libcurl, I also have to include (and install etc) the dll, otherwise it won't work..
Where can I get a libcurl lib that will add the code to my binary so I don't have to have a separate dll to do the job ?..
I can't find any info on it, which means that I'm doing something pretty stupid which noone else is doing, so please don't take any knowledge for granted.. baby steps are needed..
Does anyone have this static(?) library, or know where I can find it, or even put me straight on what exactly I have to do to compile my program without the need for an extra DLL ?..
Thank you for any help,
Dimitris
