ok done. patch attached if i dont forget it.
caveats:
* the callback is passed a "stream" pointer, im not sure which one it
should get
* i had to add ssl includes to curl.h
* the code is behind #ifdef SSLEAY, this is unfortunate but we need
the X509 definition for the callback prototype or we'll get compilation
errors on system without openssl.

I hope this can be integrated before 10.4, in this form or another.
