In the context of IP communications, MTU == Maximum Transmission
Unit. This is a property of an interface (NIC) and/or route, which is
factored into the MSS (Maximum Segment Size) decisions made by
individual TCP connections.
So, individual TCP connections using the same route or interface would
share the same MTU and may or may not have the same MSS.
