libcurl in VB?

Hello all,
I've been using the command line curl utility for quite some time to FTP
files across my company's WAN. I am now putting design together to
implement a more sophisticated tool using libcurl.
Has anyone has luck implementing libcurl.dll into VB? I've read the MSDN
knowledge-base article on how-to link DLLs, but my problem is how to handle
the datatypes that curl accepts and returns.
Any ideas?
