Maybe i declared victory too fast on my development station it works fine but
on the server the problem is still the same...

The only difference i can see between these 2 machines is that the server is
using libssl.so.1, libcrypto.so.1 and my development station uses
libssl.so.2,libcrypto.so.2

Can this be of any importance ?

NB: For the server i needed to rebuild the curl rpms from the rpm source.
