There's this bug report (#420659) on libcurl over at
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100976&aid=420659&group_id=976

It looks as if the Windows name resolver could have some multi-thread
problems.

Does anyone know if there exists some multi-thread option to the Microsoft
compiler that'll make things work better? Apparently, the Borland compiler
has an option for it so I thought there might be one in MSVC too.

Other ideas regarding the cause of the problem are welcome too.
