The current Gentoo repository contains 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3:

All of them can be installed on the system at a time, user then selects
a single 2.x and 3.x version as the default ones. The 2.5 version may
disappear soon as the 2.4 version recently did.

Fedora uses 2.7 as the default python version and provides 3.2 (in f17)
or 3.3 (in f18+) as an optional package. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
ships python 2.6.
