My plan was to apply the patch at
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2917775&group_id=28236&atid=392779
and update it for changes between 2009 and 2010 if necessary. As no
curl-related functionality would change, version independence should
not matter for python 3 compatibility.
