what version of pycurl works with OS X 10.5?

Folks, I've just tried to build 7.19.0 on OS X 10.5, using the system
Python and system libcurl. Doesn't work; needs a newer version of
libcurl. What's the latest version of pycurl that builds out-of-the-box
on OS X 10.5 (which provides libcurl 7.16.3)?
I'm guessing 7.16.4? Or 7.16.2?
