Hi Friedrich,
  Yeah, I verified that I'm in the right directory. Interesting thing is,
while I was verifying that, I noticed this in the verbose output generated
by Libcurl (i guess i just missed seeing it before):

* Curl_xxx_rcvs returned -1, block = TRUE

Could this have anything to do with the problem?
