Ah yes, that's indeed the situation.

It makes perfect sense so yes, that would most certainly be useful for ssh
users.
It would probably require that libcurl gets the feature to tickle the
underlying ssh library correctly and then curl needs to tell libcurl...
If anyone is interested in diving in with some curl development this sounds
like a good task. It is not something that is on the top of my personal TODO
list.
