You can optionally use www.sunfreeware.com. If you have installed anything from there beforehand you may already have said libs in /usr/local/lib. The best thing to do would be to check your environment. There are libs in /usr, /usr/sfw, /usr/local/, /, /usr/ccs and other locations.
