Hi all,
We're currently using curl with c-ares disabled, but have a feeling
that we are seeing relatively high resolve times. I'm looking for
reasons to favour c-ares or not.
What would be the effect of using c-ares w.r.t. resolve performance
when considering the resolves for a typical webpage load (incl.
embedded assets)? Does c-ares by-pass the OS entirely? And finally,
does curl do normal gethostbynames when c-ares is disabled?
Thanks!
