Getting involved is the simplest thing in the world: just do it. And feel very
welcome!
We're just a bunch of random people hanging out here. Everyone who wants to
can download the code and start fixing all the flaws and things you think
should be fixed. I of course recommend using CVS directly if you want to
produce nice and clean patches.
If you're thinking of taking on some of the somewhat larger changes I think
perhaps a good idea is to start small and clean up the small things first and
get a feel for how things are tied together in the source and in the project
at large, and then when you get warm you present your grand suggestion on the
suitable mailing list and we debate and throw pies at each other until we've
come to an agreement on how the future is best redigned...
Oh, and I also jotted down a bunch of more stuff in docs/CONTRIBUTE in the
past, so that's also a good place to read first.
