It can not be done. curl's 7.19.5 configure script can not be used
directly with curl's 7.18.2 source code.

You can use 'diff' against both versions and see for yourself.

If you really wanted to do it, you would need to hack curl's 7.18.2
source code so much that you would end with a product that is not
supported by anyone, and that is not even 'compatible' with 7.18.2.
You would be on your own from that point onwards forever.

Between those two versions, the number of official bug fixes is nearly
140 and another 40 official changes. I see no point in using such an
old version. Specially when it does not even build on your system.

Upgrade.
