Lots of people report problems with curl agsinst the Glub FTP server all the
time, and if you ask me that is because that server is not adhereing to the
FTP over TLS spec (in the same way curl does at least).

I've heard from people that said that some recent version of glub works
better, but I've never used nor run one of those servers myself.
