Even if you include -L it still probably won't work though. The
location it's redirecting to looks like a "you must first login to view
this" page, so you will either have to script that (painful!) or find a
URL for the page that works without any login credentials/cookies.
Since the nytimes recently tore down their pay wall I'm surprised you're
still running into this, but you might also try
<http://nytimes.blogspace.com/genlink>.
