Curl not able to download the file

Hi I am using curl to download the file but I am not able to download
the file. Curl does not follow the link. In order to download the file
I first need to login I am able to loginto the site and then store the
page at my local hard disk and get the session variable in order to
fetch other pages. After this there is link from where i can download
the file but i am not able to download it please help me
