First, this is the wrong list, you should really be using curl-library.

It would help if you told us what the actual command is you're using to
link. If you're using some IDE, then you should first get your sample
to compile and link from a shell prompt without the IDE's "assistance"
(in finger quotes, since IDEs try to insulate you from this required
knowledge, which does you a disservice.)
