then opening the small nt.gz,we get:
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

The following URL could not be retrieved: ftp://genbank.sdsc.edu/pub/blast/db/FASTA/nt.gz
Squid sent the following FTP command:
RETR nt.gz
and then received this reply
nt.gz: Value too large for defined data type.
This might be caused by an FTP URL with an absolute path (which does not comply with RFC 1738). If this is the cause, then the file can be found at ftp://genbank.sdsc.edu/%2f/pub/blast/db/FASTA/nt.gz.
