I use CURL occasionally, but once I had probem looked exactly you describe.
The issue was -- clock. Server rejected cookie just because it considered
expired. We just called server and verified our clock. It was 10 min
difference.The cookie has you machine timestamp, so it become expired in the
moment it was received.
