What path does curl use to check cabundle.crt

What path does curl use to check ca-bundle.crt
If I run curl from the command line it only works when I use:
curl --cacert /usr/local/share/curl/ca-bundle.crt -v
https://www.paypal.com
If I knew the default location curl is looking for the ca-bundle.crt I
could copy it there.
