Rewrite relativ URL to absolute with curl?

Hi!
Is it possible to make curl rewrite HTML like:
<img src="/img/0,1020,215074,00.jpg" [..]
to
<IMG SRC="http://www.spiegel.de/img/0,1020,215074,00.jpg" [..]
w3mir does this per default, but it lacks most of any other advanced features curl has.
Hopefuly, I'm just overlooking some switch? As last resort sed might do the trick somehow.
