Windows Crash - CURL bug..?
When executing the following command, on Windows XP
with SP1 :
curl ftp://ftp4.nero.com/nero551054.exe
I accidentally omitted the -O switch to download the
binary file. This caused the return data to be output
to the screen (as expected).
Trying to stop the display by closing the window or
with task manager was not possible. All attempts to
stop the task failed (even unplugging the network
connection).
I can re-produce this every time (with different sites
and files, not just the one above) and the only
solution is to re-boot the machine.
Have I found a bug..? or missing something in my
set-up..?
Thanks
WH
P.S. - using curl 7.10.7 no-ssl version. Windows
binary
