Hi Bryan,

Thanx for the prompt help. Unluckily, am getting the same error with the
revised command
curl -I "www.yahoo.com"

Any other reason why this error crops up?

You only need curl -I "http://www.yahoo.com". The rest of the line
<www.yahoo.com> is not a valid part of a URL. -Bryan

Hi there List,

As a starter in cURL, I thought of playing and learning cURL by beginning
with the scripting manual. Tried a simple command, curl -i
"http://www.yahoo.com <http://www.yahoo.com> ". Am getting the following
error:
curl: (6) Couldn't resolve host 'www.yahoo.com <www.yahoo.com> '

However, while trying to do a nslookup, my system resolves this name without
any glitch.

Please let me know if am missing anything.
