Hi,

is there a simple way to create a statically linked curl, if possible even
with diet libc?

I can make it manually:

configure
make
cd src
gcc -g -O2 -static -o .libs/curl.static main.o hugehelp.o urlglob.o writeout.o
writeenv.o ../lib/.libs/libcurl.a -lssl -lcrypto -ldl -lz

But I'd like a configure option --with-static or so to build and install both
a dynamically linked version and a statically linked one.

But I have no idea where to start to achieve that.
