CURLcode from curl_easy_setopt

Am I wrong when I say that in the current versions of curl
the function curl_easy_setopt always returns CURLE_OK,
and ignores the return value from Curl_setopt?
This is not a big problem so far, since almost all (but not
all) of Curl_setopt also always return CURL_OK anyway,
but ...
