Re: Inconsistency in memory allocation

Where did /usr/include/selectbits.h come from?? And which Linux distro?? I
just scanned *all* the rpms from RedHat 7.2 & 7.3 and didn't find
selectbits.h...

On the other hand, I *did* find /usr/include/bits/select.h, which has defines
for FD_ZERO, FD_SET, FD_CLR, etc, along with this message:

    #ifndef _SYS_SELECT_H
    # error "Never use <bits/select.h> directly; include <sys/select.h>
instead."
    #endif

Seems almost like someone might have copied bits/select.h to selectbits.h and
removed the above warning message... Or possibly created/copied a similar
file.

Next question is, why would curl use selectbits.h anyway? There's no
reference to it in the source, though I suppose whoever created selectbits.h
coud have fiddled with other files in /usr/include...

As long as configure finds sys/select.h, curl will use it. If another include
file then pulls in selectbits.h as well, there will be a conflict of
definitions.
